Academic Integrity & Acceptable Use Policy

This policy defines acceptable use of Magspire and the conduct expected of every user (students, staff/tutors, and admins) to keep practice results meaningful and the platform fair for everyone.

1. Who This Applies To

This policy applies to all account types: Students, Staff/Tutors, and Admins.

2. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

1. Share your login credentials. Your username, passkey, and/or password are for your use only. Sharing them with another person to give them unauthorized access to Premium content is prohibited and enforced automatically through our single-active-session system.
2. Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to take exams on your behalf, extract questions, auto-submit answers, or otherwise interact with the Platform in a way a human would not.
3. Attempt to manipulate your Learn & Earn score through fake accounts, self-referral, collusion with another user to inflate referral bonuses, or exploiting bugs in the scoring system.
4. Impersonate another person, including registering an account using someone else’s name, school, or identifying details without authorization.
5. Reverse-engineer, scrape, or bulk-extract the question bank, explanations, or platform software (see also Section 5 of the Terms of Service).
6. Upload or share content (as Staff) that is plagiarized, offensive, discriminatory, or unrelated to the subject being examined.
7. Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, staff, or admins through any in-platform messaging or announcement feature.

3. Staff / Tutor-Specific Responsibilities

Staff members uploading questions agree to:

• Only upload questions they have the right to use (original content or legitimately sourced past questions);
• Correctly mark answers using the platform’s format convention, ensuring accuracy before submission for Admin review;
• Not share draft or unpublished question banks outside the Platform;
• Keep student communications professional and exam-focused.

4. Consequences of Violation

Depending on severity, violations of this policy may result in:

• A warning and required correction of behavior;
• Temporary suspension of Premium access or Staff upload privileges;
• Permanent account termination, without refund (see Refund Policy, Section 5);
• Removal from the Learn & Earn leaderboard and forfeiture of any pending prize;
• Where applicable, referral to appropriate authorities (e.g. in cases of fraud or impersonation).

Admins review suspected violations and have final discretion over enforcement action, applied consistently across similar cases.

5. Reporting a Violation

If you suspect another user is sharing credentials, using automated tools, or manipulating the leaderboard, report it to:

Reports are reviewed confidentially.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as new forms of abuse are identified. Continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
